Pro: job sheets and install text
A printable A4 sheet that travels with the job through the workshop, and the installation instructions your customer gets when the order is completed.
Pro 1.1.0. Both tools are part of Vinyl Lettering Designer Pro.
The job sheet
The job sheet puts what the person at the machine needs on one A4 page: the job and order number, customer, product, size, material, the colours with their layers, the quantity, the deadline, who is assigned, the status and the proof status. It shows the design, a preview per colour layer and which production file to use (the approved proof, or the original design). At the bottom is a small check list with the steps Cut, Weed, Tape and Check, with a field for initials, and room for notes.
Printing sheets
On the production board, select one job or several and choose Print job sheets. The sheets open in a print view with a Print button, one A4 sheet per job.
The QR code
Every sheet has a QR code with the text “Scan to open this job on the production board”. Scanning it with a phone opens the job on the board in your WordPress admin, where you can change its status without walking to a computer. You need to be logged in to your admin, and allowed to manage production, for the board to open.
Installation text in the Completed e-mail
When an order with a designed item is completed, WooCommerce's Completed order e-mail gets a section How to apply your sticker: your installation instructions, the size of each designed item and links to your installation guide and installation video. The customer receives the how-to at the moment the lettering arrives, which is when they need it.
- The text and the guide and video links come from the free plugin's settings: Settings → Advanced (installation instructions) and Settings → Delivery (guide and video URLs).
- Nothing is added when those are empty, and only orders with at least one designed item are affected.
- It is a switch in the Pro settings: Add installation instructions to the Completed order e-mail.
Set it up
- Fill in the installation instructions and the guide and video links in the free plugin's settings.
- In the Pro settings, switch on the installation text for the Completed e-mail.
- Complete a test order and check the e-mail.
