• Safer design uploads — the cutting file a customer sends with an order is now checked element by element; anything that is not plain vector geometry is refused.
• Rush orders visible — a rush surcharge now shows in the cart, on the order and in the production notes, so you know which orders to cut first.
• Minimum quantity and switches enforced — the minimum order quantity, the printed-sticker option and the laminate option are checked on the server, not only in the browser.
• Prices shown the way your shop shows them — the designer follows your tax display setting, and a base price per dm² set on a product now really overrides the material price.
• Cached product pages keep ordering — an expired security token is refreshed automatically instead of blocking Add to cart.
• Designer fixes — typing while an extra text layer is selected no longer overwrites the main text; Ctrl+Z only works inside the designer; Clear resets everything; error messages stay until you close them; a warning appears when a font lacks a character.
• Loads in less than half the size — the designer scripts are now really minified and the font engine only loads when a customer uploads a font: about 497 KB instead of 1.2 MB on a product page.
• Admin fixes — the Materials form saves again after the wizard or an import, templates keep their product links, font clean-up runs, the fonts folder works on Apache 2.4, and sizes follow your locale.
• Honest font names — bundled fonts show their real name with the compatible name, and the FAQ lists which fonts cover accented or Cyrillic letters.

• Design preview readable for every foil colour — the cart preview now sits on a neutral background that contrasts with the foil, so white or light lettering is no longer white on white. Works in the classic cart, mini-cart, cart and checkout blocks and on the order page.

• Faster designer start — the default font and the drawing library start loading with the page instead of waiting for the script.
• Smaller font files — unused characters removed from the bundled fonts (Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese kept); the plugin download is about 21% smaller.
• Readable price panel — material lines and links use the panel text colour on every theme.

• Exact inches and millimetres — a size typed in inches stays exactly what you typed (3 in is 3.00 in), millimetres show whole numbers, and the canvas labels match the size line.
• Unit of measurement setting — choose centimetres, millimetres or inches in Settings, General (before, only in the setup wizard).
• Sizes in your unit — cart, order and production file show sizes in the shop unit, with centimetres in brackets for inch and millimetre shops.
• Phones — the dimension labels left and right of the canvas stay inside the canvas and are no longer bold.

• Google fonts in the designer — Google fonts you enable on the Fonts screen now appear in the designer. The visitor's browser loads them from fonts.gstatic.com; bundled and uploaded fonts never contact Google. If you ticked only Google fonts, the designer now offers exactly those instead of the built-in set.
• Honest Fonts screen — the default font list shows exactly the fonts the designer offers, and a notice explains the built-in set of 27 fonts when no font is ticked.
• Safe fallback — if a Google font cannot be loaded, the designer switches to the default font and shows a short message.

• Start screen no longer blocks — "What are you making?" is a compact row of suggestions with a Hide button, and it closes as soon as the customer starts designing.
• Canvas on phones — new setting (Settings, General): stays visible at the top (default), scrolls with the page, or opens the full screen editor. The phone canvas also stays visible in themes that set overflow: hidden on the page wrapper, such as Storefront.
• Smoother canvas — no flicker while it redraws, and it only redraws when its size really changes (not when a phone's address bar slides away).
• More room on phones — more space for the options and a calmer "Where will it be applied?" choice.
• Easier to read price panel — Add to Cart, the shipping line and "Email me this design" take less space. Add to Cart keeps white text: a mid-tone button colour is darkened slightly until it meets WCAG AA; only very light colours get dark text.

• Fit mode — the size fields are "Max. width" and "Max. height", with a "Fits inside … · cut size …" line that shows the real cut size.
• Italic measured on the letter shapes — the cut size, the price and the cut file no longer include a slant margin.

Free on WordPress.org: no licence layer, safer uninstall, Google Fonts only on request.

• No licence layer — no licence page, no licence key, no daily licence check and no contact with a licence server. Every feature is available and has its own switch in the settings.
• Settings that were switched off by the old licence are kept as saved — check Settings, General, Pricing (and Materials for printed stickers).
• Customer font upload is off unless you switch on "Allow frontend font upload". Font upload on the admin Fonts screen follows "Allow backend font upload" in Settings, General.
• Printed sticker backgrounds — the background colour and image choice follows "Background panel option" in Settings, General. Off means a white background panel with text.
• Two unused price calculations removed — the admin-ajax action vst_calculate_price and the REST route vst/v1/price. The cart uses the shared price formula.
• Hooks and a JavaScript object for add-ons (prefix vst_). The filter vst_designer_allowed receives the product ID: return false and WooCommerce shows the theme's own price and add-to-cart button for that product.
• Safer uninstall — deleting the plugin removes only what belongs to it. New setting "Delete all plugin data when the plugin is deleted" (Settings, Advanced, off by default).
• Google Fonts only on request — new installs switch on no Google font. The list is fetched from Google only when you click "Refresh list from Google". Once you enable a Google font, visitors' browsers load that font file from fonts.gstatic.com on pages with the designer; bundled fonts are served from your own site.
• Source of the design core and the font engine now ships in the plugin, with build instructions.
• Licence data of 6.x is removed from the database on update; going back to 6.x needs re-activation.
• New folder and name — install 7.0.0, then deactivate (do not delete) the old Vinyl Sticker Tool plugin; your settings are kept. The two cannot run side by side. See installation.
• New Extensions page in the Vinyl Lettering menu, with one notice that you can dismiss. It shows only on the plugin's own screens.

Adds batches, nesting and roll stock to Vinyl Lettering Designer Pro. Database tables are added automatically on update; back up first. See the guide.

• Batch export with nesting on the roll width (shelf packing on bounding boxes, 0 and 90 degree rotation), one material and foil colour per batch, batch SVG download, finish and undo.
• A multi-layer job moves to Cutting only when all of its layers are cut.
• Rolls with remaining length and a margin per batch, a low-stock notice and an optional e-mail (off by default).
• Monthly usage report with CSV export, and waste marking for jobs cancelled after cutting.

• Stylesheet cache refresh — the version number is bumped so browsers load the updated stylesheet instead of a cached 6.0.0 copy.

A new rendering core focused on one thing: the file you cut is exactly what the customer designed.

• Cut-ready SVG in real millimetres — exports are produced at the exact size the customer ordered, with no margin and no live text elements.
• Welded letters — overlapping letters (for example in script fonts) are merged into clean, single outlines, so the cutter does not cut through letters.
• Bold and underline as real geometry — they are now part of the outline instead of a visual stroke, so they survive into the cut file.
• Vector PDF with cut line — the PDF is generated by the plugin itself, with the cut line as a CutContour spot colour.
• The store owner gets the customer's actual file — the vector export the customer saw is saved when the product is added to the cart, including colour, mirroring, spacing, extra text layers and shapes. Older orders without a saved file show a notice instead of a regenerated substitute.
• No external CDN scripts — Google Fonts, DOMPurify, jsPDF and svg2pdf are no longer loaded from third-party servers. Everything is served from your own domain.
• Free-licensed fonts — all bundled fonts are now licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 or Apache 2.0, replacing proprietary font files. Licence notices are included with the plugin.
• Faster first render — only the active font is loaded up front; other fonts load when selected. The export engine loads on first export only.
• Accurate order summary — dimensions are read from the final render instead of the input fields, and missing values are no longer filled with defaults.
• Orders no longer blocked by customer text — text containing characters such as "=" could trip a safety check and block the order.
• Mobile toolbar is back — undo, zoom and download are available on phones again, placed below the canvas.
