Embed: configuration
Everything about a shop is set in your dashboard. The page that shows the designer only holds the script line.
Account and licence
Buy a plan on the Embed page, then create a shop under Designer Embed in your account and choose your licence. The licence comes from the e-mail address of your account, which must be verified. The owner address of a shop is your account address.
Embed covers 1 domain and Embed Agency covers 10 domains. The limit counts the different domains of all shops that use the same licence.
Domains
List the domains that may show the designer. The designer refuses to load on other domains. A subdomain is a separate entry.
Request or event mode
- Request: the customer sends a form and you receive an e-mail with the order request and production files.
- Event: your own code receives a
vst:checkoutevent. See event mode.
In request mode you can add a link to your privacy policy. The form then shows a consent box that links to it.
Materials and prices
Add materials with a price per dm², the foil colours of each material with an optional surcharge, a minimum price per piece, an extra colour surcharge, size limits and quantity discounts. The price is calculated the same way as in the plugin and is recalculated on the server for every order. How the price is built.
Features
Each customer-facing feature has its own switch: leave off what your workshop cannot produce.
Test mode
In test mode the designer also works on localhost, so developers can build the page before it is live. Switch it off when the site goes live.
A demo shop can be created without a licence: it runs in test mode and works on localhost and in the dashboard preview only. Orders from a demo shop are stored for 180 days and go to its owner's inbox.
Orders
Every request is listed under the shop with its status (new, seen or done), the customer details, the design and the download links. Opening an order marks it as seen. You can send the e-mail again. Orders and their files are deleted after 180 days, so download what you need to keep. See the privacy policy.
