Pro: licence and updates
Activate once to start creating jobs and proofs. After that Pro keeps working, also when the licence expires.
Pro 1.1.0. The licence applies to Vinyl Lettering Designer Pro. The free plugin has no licence and no key.
Activate
- Install and activate WooCommerce and the free Vinyl Lettering Designer plugin (version 7.0 or later).
- Upload the Pro ZIP under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and activate it.
- Go to WooCommerce → Pro licence, paste your licence key and click Activate. The licence key is sent to you by e-mail after your purchase.
Until the site is activated, creating jobs and proofs is locked and a notice asks you to activate. Activation is one time per site. The free plugin and WooCommerce are not affected.
Licence states
The licence screen shows the status, the licence key, the domain, the plan, how many sites are used, the expiry date and the last check. The statuses are: Active, Grace (the licence server could not be reached at the last check; Pro keeps working and updates stay available), Unverified, Expired, Invalid and Not activated. A Check now button re-checks, and Deactivate locally removes the key from this site only (the licence server is not contacted, so the site still counts towards your plan).
When the licence expires
Pro keeps working. The Pro features that were unlocked stay unlocked. What stops is updates: renew the licence to receive them again. The licence screen and an admin notice say so.

All plans contain the same features; only the number of sites differs. On a multisite network, every site needs its own activation and counts towards the number of sites. If a licence is already in use on the maximum number of sites, activation says so.
What is sent
Only the licence key, the site's domain and the plugin version are sent to the licence server (twilper.com), when the licence is checked and when updates are checked.
Updates
With an active licence, Pro updates appear on the normal WordPress update screen. Without an active licence you can keep using the installed version. If your server cannot reach the update server, the update screen says so and tries again later.
GPL
Free and Pro are both licensed under the GPLv2 or later. The licence key is personal and not transferable; it gives you updates and support for the paid period. See the terms and the plans.
